Yesterday, I started giving my son brown rice. Previously he was on white rice, he has a tendency to just swallow without chewing. He did the same with brown rice- swallowing without chewing and his stool has lost form. I can see what looks like the undigested brown rice in his stool. Not sure if this related to not chewing or the colon condition. Right now he is diary free except some yogurt and glutten free.
His current diet is
Breakfast at 7 with sulfasalazine- steamed rice cake made of parboiled rice and bean
At 9 a tablespoon of probiotics
At 11 a bowl of brown rice and a bowl of vegetables(mostly broccolli/cauliflower/mushrooms/yellow squash)
At 2 steamed rice cake and his sulfasalazine dose
At 5 some puffed brown rice with turmeric/olive oil seasoning
At 9 again a bowl of brown rice with vegetables with his sulfasalazine.
Yesterday I gave his vitamin E enema with 400 IU.
A positive sign in the stool is it has lesser blood. But the stool form is not there. Will continue with the procedure and update here.
