For now, keep repeating the salt doses. If eating makes you worse, don't eat. If you have magnesium, or Epsom Salts , take that. Do not take any more Iodoral until you even out.
Obviously you are telling us that you had huge doubts and anxiety about your health before. The Iodine is kicking out the bromide, which brings out doubt, anxiety, dark thoughts, etc. Read the message Citing Sources just wrote about bromide detox and dark thoughts.
Your liver, if damaged, will regenerate if you provide the proper nutrition to it. There is not much that can't be fixed with clean blood and good nutrition.
For NOW, don't worry about what to get into your system. Worry about getting the bromide that the Iodoral has detoxed for you out of your body and into the toilet. You don't want that bromide recirculating. Take a couple of days to clear out your body with magnesium, the salt dose. Take these days to read up on the complete protocol for iodine therapy. Read the FAQs about how to start.
You wanted to jump start your system. You did. Read the FAQ on the Herxheimer reaction. Your body is like a house in the middle of remodeling. It is not pretty when things are torn down and taken out. But you do want a new house, don't you - I mean new body?
For now, it is important that you get yourself calm and know that all things are proceeding as they should. You wanted a roto-rooter and you got one. Sometimes we just dive in the deep end and sometimes we just put our toe in.
You will not die. Look on this as a learning experience. Your job right now is just to get through it. Worry about your living situation and liver later. Just get your body cleaned out, taking as much salt and magnesium as you need from minute to minute. Right now just take some deep breaths, and then take some more, and then some more. Sleep as much as possible. Talk to yourself that you will be fine and that all is well.
You will feel better after being detoxed. It may take a few days. Then start back on the Iodoral slowly, following the advice in the FAQs. Now that you know what detox feels like, you will be able to feel your way along increasing the Iodoral, and avoiding the dark thoughts and anxiety with the same salt and magnesium. And you will be doing such good for your body.
There is hope. Hang in there. None of the responses you are having to food may be permanent. There is a word used often here - TRANSIENT - that means it comes, but it leaves, like a transit bus. It doesn't stay. If it stays, you just need to repeat the salt and magnesium until it leaves.
Six months down the line you will feel so much better and you will laugh at what happened. Miracles have happened here in much less than that.
