Yes, I agree, but instead what most are passing on to their children are Wal*Mart, donuts, cell phones, pop, and McDonald's.  The media does quite a number on people.  That is why I say there will likely always be the majority doing all this stuff and a small minority of us paying exhorbant prices for organic food and such. 

Yes, it is always a tear-jerker for me when I see kids taking on the values of their parents (when they are good values).  I share most of my parent's ideals and am lucky they had them.

We can get anything we want within reason.  Society and the Government and Corporate America have a lot to say with what you can have and not have, don't be fooled.  It isn't a free-for-all.

I think perhaps you misconstrued what I meant by powerless.  But, the poor and the have-nots are definitely limited in power in many avenues.
