Newbie questions iodine, empty stomach

I heard about this OP on a fitness board a year ago... was intrigued but forgot. Then a few days ago a woman who practices and teaches Ayurveda told me about using sesame oil in the mouth.. so I looked up oil pulling again.

I spent all day yesterday reading this site and getting more and more excited.
Usually I dont believe a thing.. people will sell miracle cures for profit and I have a chronic disorder that no one has helped for any amount of $$ yet.
But no one here is selling and the stories are sincere.

I have had pain for 22 years .... Doctors say fibro... post traumatic stress ... but that doesnt help much...who knows what really is the problem.. nervous system for sure ... maybe toxins..
anyhow.. I am thrilled to read this forum.
I already detox with sweats, cutlured foods, wheatgrass, sesame on the feet at night. ... a good start.
Now oil pulling.

I am day 2 using sesame oil ...
I have noticed .. nice feeling mouth..
this morning in the magnifying mirror I noticed several blemishes that had peeling skin have totally disappeared with no trace .. smooth healing...no dent or rough skin.

one question does one supplement pulling with iodine?
other question is
on the empty stomach instruction.
Exactly WHY an empty stomach? what if I have something in my stomach?
(i rarely have an empty stomach as I am a grazer.. would like to do this more than once a day)

If I do NOT get nauseous while pulling, is it ok to have something in my stomach?
OR - is it a matter of better detoxing to have an empty stomach?

i see a post saying the gall bladder might be a problem if there is food in the system...
any other comments on having food in the system..
