i scream...Do you personally know of anyone with Exfoliative Cheilitis of long duration that was healed by Laser Therapy? If so, who did the treatment?

I know of a someone who had Exfoliative for 6 or 7 years, then opted for a vermilionectomy (lip shave) which was surprisingly unsuccessful in stopping the inflammation and peeling. The last Derm I had seen who had successfully treated the condition had discouraged me from any surgical approaches and recommended I concentrate on the cognitive behavioral therapy and possibly pyschopharmacological approaches(medications) to deal with underlying anxiety disorders. If I was set on a surgical approach, a superficial laser ablation was recommended as a first option.
