Plantars Wart?

How do I get rid of a plantars wart. My DH has had this for a few years now. He has had it burnt off 2x & it returns. He has tried taping it with castor oil at night & putting banana peels over it. Do you think that the oregano oil would work for this? He takes it internally right now, but should he be applying it to the wart also? Thanks-Sandy :)
