I don't know, and I don't care.

I came here to state one simple fact, that iodine number relates to unsaturation content, and not iodine content. At least one person would have said "thanks", were there a polite person here. That assumes people really care about having correct information.

If their true intent is to wrongly believe that walnut contains iodine, then I suppose I may have spoiled their party, and I apologize.

I see that you now seem to want to change the conversation. I think it's nice that you all need something to talk about, and that you have a place to do it. But I have nothing further I wish to contribute here, basis the way it was received. If you are looking for an answer, then ask it on one of the iodine forums, maybe someone there will answer it for you.
