If you have poor nutrient stores you probably would be better off on complete raw before a fast, otherwise if you've been eating healthily more or less and have good quality stores then a mono diet would be fine. I myself think it's fairly natural that fruit in season would be a natural diet on it's own in the wild. If you came across a bunch of fruit trees in the forest filled with enough fruit to feed the family or tribe why go elsewhere? More than likely you'd camp by them until they were empty of their treasure.
