They work together in a synergistic manner! Calcium/magnesium should be 2:1 despite the misinformation posted about this, the potassium/sodium ratio is 3:1 ! These ratios are ideal of course so a deficiency in one may cause problems with others but balance is the goal!
Of course I would never use pill or capsule forms or use any grocery store supplements unless you are very familiar with the manufacturer.
