 I had the exact same thing happen to me last summer.  After not suffering from asthma for many years since leaving California (I think this is the key word), last year I suddenly developed severe asthma on taking a trip to California from Texas.  I think it may be the change in location, the air quality.  I became extremely ill, actually hospitalized for one week.  After my hospital stay, I was still having severe problems, so what I did was nebulize with colloidal silver, lobelia, and I took a product by the name of Clear Lungs that expectorates congestion.  This got me feeling fine in a week but the thing is I had to continue nebulizing and taking Clear Lungs because if I stopped the asthma would come back.
