Thank you for sharing your memories, I love to hear the stories of others, and your story is so like my own. I was almost eight years old before I really met my Dad, he fought in Vietnam, and did 2 four year tours of duty. I remember the sea of khaki green, duffle bags, army boots, and bearded men, at the train station, when we went to see my Dad arrive home from Vietnam.

I loved to look at all my Dad's medals, they were shiny and colourful, but I had little idea what it took to earn them.

You've brought back so many memories with your words, thank you :)

I too, get tired of the half truths, the re-writing of history, to suit a political view. The internet has made information available to a great many people, but not all the information is truthful, or even useful.

I don't like sensationalism, but that seems to be what we get now, and I find it tedious. Journalists don't want to report news, they want to manufacture it.

This is one program I love watching, much more interesting than most of the news :)
