Had a follow-up appointment with my long-time family GP/friend yesterday. Just now cooling off enough to post.

He was running late. Much later than usual.
When asked how I felt, I replied "Cranky!"
"I'm cranky, too" sez he.
Me - Well, my cranky's because of a fullblown headcold the sort of which I hadn't had in so long, didn't know what was wrong with me, what's your cranky about?
He - I'm not being allowed to practice medicine. Then went on - "you know the patient right in front of you? Well, he has to have bloodpressure medication. Medicare allows only the particular generic that doesn't work for this man--we know, we've tried it. Spent precious quarter hour on phone with Obamacare person who denied substitution of the meds that work. This is a person sitting in an office somewhere telling me how to treat my patients, a person who hasn't, never has had any connection with practicing medicine. And I'm now way behind in seeing the rest of my people, plus must take time out from them to fill in all sorts of forms. They won't let me practice medicine!"

And then, he says he's looking to "get out of here". Where he doesn't know yet, but he's looking.
He's said before, a while back, he just might retire and go fishing. This has been building for quite a while.

Obamacare! Pffft!
No more special care for 40+ yearold people--you're no longer considered a productive member of society.
Fifty and over - pallative care only--you're taking up valuable space and resources.
Older than that, stack 'em off somewhere to rot. Sooner the better.
Forget vitamins & supplements & herbs, soon we won't have those.
