i spoke with my derm for a while yesterday and got a lot info and his insight into ec... being a cosmetic dermatologist he has seen it happen as a result to various infections, diseases, traumas and even procedures to the lips... in his explanation, it is an inflammatory skin reaction that usually begins in the center of the upper lip, and will spread to varying degrees to the surroundinding tissues both in circumference and in depth when it is irritated... (started in the bottom lip for me) whether that be through picking, bacteria, dryness, yeast, disease, chemical irritants ect... and ...

Wanted to share this journal article with everyone, from 1902. Describes EC as a rare kind of "eczema" that only affected the vermillion area of the lips in rare cases, and did not show significant puffiness or swelling. Also describes the cases as having concurrent "eruption of the scalp." If you’re interested, here is a link to a discussion of the cases in greater detail, with other dermatologists commenting on their own experiences with EC. Hi Guys, ... ... I have been making very very slow progress on my EC. I have slowly stopped using all the commercial lip balms. For about 4 weeks, I apply a hand made lip balm (Olive oil + grapefruit seed extract ) for 30% of a day (8Hrs) and the rest 70% with out a lip moisturiser. I have to do this because, i had to look good at work and thus applied only once in the morning before going to work. ... ... Monsterlips trick seemed to work me as well. ... ... My diet has changed a lot. Wheat free, refined sugar free for a month. 50% Raw 50% cooked ... ... Exercising a bit, about 2 times a week. But i have to ...

... yess, its already 56 days have passed.. more healthy lip skin is coming out, slow but steady progress... just awesome. ... ... my teaching job is starting tomorrow, and i also work in a big store. got 2 jobs no problem. still living without any balms/vaseline/ointments etc.. ... ... have been posting on japanese Ec forum lately, many people have tried steriod based ointments for a long term and they are desperate to find a cure but they can’t live without putting something on their lips, so they keep using vaseline etc.. they’ve been suffering for many many years.. ... ... there is a very helpful mem ...

Well pitures are clearly needed since a new ”cure” is regularly posted here. Even you claimed to be cured earlier. I personaly dont see the big deal with posting a pic of your lips and your lips only. [End]
