  • Dr Ohhira professional formula by luciapp  12 mon   638  Candida Support

I have read that megadosing on dr Ohhiras professional probiotic formula is an effective way to rid oneself of candida. I was thinking of taking 5 pills morning and night for about 2 months. Yes it would be expensive but if it works i really don’t care about the cost. Anyone have success with this?   [End]

What type of B vitamins are we talking? natural b-complex with nutritional yeast? synthetic b-complex? b-100 or b-50? Or separate isolated B’s.. Please be more specific for everybody... I cant remember when Bee recommended isolated B’s EVER, this must be something new?? Bee’s diet cant lead to long term issues so after a while i’d suggest you change things up!   [End]

Calcium acts as an antacid if you take an un-acidified form such as carbonate as in Tums or hydroxide as in the Moreless drink. You can use citrate, lactate or other acidified forms and these shouldnt cause you any issues and should be highly absorbable.   [End]

  • Re: Calcium study by luciapp  28 mon   1,980  Candida Support

I take Calcium Lactate by standard process at the moment. Its has a 5:1 calcium to magnesium ratio. But if you want straight calcium NOW has a calcium citrate powder that is very cheap, or you could make your own calcium with eggshells and lemon juice. Its really up to you. I know what the study says but i want to keep in perspective that we do need magnesium also. But Calcium maybe an overlooked factor in healing candida and its seems that everyone including myself may be making the situation worse by only taking magnesium.   [End]

I have AWFUL die-off from zinc &/or i cant tolerate it. So i feel your pain. The 5:1 cal/mag that im taking at night is allowing me to have the best sleep ever! Magnesium sulfate (epsom salts) is tough on the GI tract anyways. But I guess the jist is everything needs to be in balance. It seems like everyone is jumping on the Magnesium train, as was the case with vitamin c, and recently D3. Everytime i take magnesium it makes me feel worse, im not sure why but do know that calcium is important and should be supplemented ESPECIALLY if one is taking magnesium and in propery ratio which could be 2:1, 4:1, or even 5:1(which is what i am experimenting with now)... She is 65 and this just recently started about 2 years ago with no prior issues. The only other issue she has is she is hypothyroid. How would she address the her hip problems? What would be the causes/or the treatment you would suggest. Her doctor is telling her she needs a hip replacement, but she doesnt want to go that route. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Some people think cal/mag have a synergistic effect, others think they are antagonistic. You could try calcium in the morning and magnesium at night or go for the combo, just record how you feel. I feel better with them in combo. If you have a calcium rich diet in things like bone broths, raw milk, sardines, etc then magnesium might be all you need. Take at night if it makes you tired. If you have loose stools maybe start slow with epsom salt baths. Then work up slowly with the citrate. Avocado’s and green leafy vegetables are great sources of magnesium also.   [End]

Stop taking it during the day and cut back on your dose. Might want to add some calcium citrate to the magnesium so you dont create an imbalance. 2/1 calcium to magnesium is optimal if you are low in magnesium a 1/1 ratio might be ideal for you.   [End]
