Ok, so it was day 4 of the juice fast today. Nothing too exciting. I did get pretty crabby around 12:30p as I wasn't able to take a lunch break because I thought I was going to leave early to take my fiance to the doctor. He ended up not going, so I just left work at 4p instead.
I weighed myself at the gym tonight, I have lost 5 pounds in the last 4 days. I am not too excited about that as I have read that most people lose a lot in the first few days. I have decided that I am going to cut down my juice intake, maybe I am drinking too much?
I will only bring one bottle of juice to work in the morning, and I will probably bring a half a bottle back after my lunch break. The rest I will just drink water or tea. Also I will be going to the gym every day except Monday (my gym is crazy on Mondays, not sure why). Hopefully when I weigh myself next i will have lost 10 more pounds...? Not sure when I will weigh myself again, I guess next Tuesday. I also have not taken a picture of myself yet, which I want to do so that I can really see the change.
OK, so yeah, I am going to go to bed now.
beginning weight: 170
Current weight: 165
Goal weight: 135 (really 120 :) )

Hi,
Don't get discourged by the gradual weight loss. For some reason mine has happened in spurts. I wake up one day and it will drop like 3lbs but then i will see no change for days. I am really bad with the weighing myself everyday I can't break the habit. I think i am going to wait till MOnday to weight myself we will see how that goes.
Another thing, I have not drank over 3 juices a day during the whole fast. Some people suggest getting 6-8 a day!?! I can't even image consuming that much juice. I think you were curious about the actual calorie intake. I did my research and I found that the average juice drink has about 120 calories in it. I have the website saved at work and I will post it to you tomorrow. I have not felt seriously deprived this whole time so if I were you I would cut back to 3-4 at the most. I would suggest doing water and tea days if you need to get over a hurdle. They always seemed to work for me. And veggie broths have little to no calories (well its hot at least) and I typically boil 1 leak, 1 onion and 3 garlic cloves in a sauce pan for an hour and drink the broth. This is my favorite so far. I too have had a really really hard time with the veggie juices. I actually like tomatoe but thats it. Even carrot is awful to me. I literally take shots of it for dinner b/c i limit myself to 2 friut juices a day and force myself to drink 1 veggie every other day. I alternate with broth. Good luck with that one... i have tried numerous recipes and I think that some people don't have a taste for it.

I just quickly wanted to comment real quick that I think you should think twice about cutting back on your juice, especially since you want to exercise. You need your juice to keep up your energy level. In my experience, I learned this the hard way, You aren't able to fast as long if you don't pace yourself. Don't get to hung up on the initial weight loss. I know easier said than done, but truly just keep up your juice and I think you will be able to fast longer, keepup your exercise and ultimately lose more weight in the long run. By the way 5lbs is nothing to sneeze at in 4 days. I did this for 17 days in January. I lost about 15lbs. More important I felt a whole lot better after the experience and was better able to make decisions re eating based on actual need rather than want. Anyway, hang in there. I am getting married on March 29th. Juice fasting was a great way to get me ready for that not only physically, but emotionally.
