Blog: Wedding Makeover
Oh Boy!
It has been pretty tough lately. I have been talking myself out of breaking the fast for 2 days straight! I am starting to doubt that I can make it 4 weeks, let alone 40 days! I don't find myself being that hungry that often, but I really want certain foods (pizza, veggie burger with all the fixins, grilled cheese).
I have been going to the gym, I didn't go yesterday as that is the crazy night (so 6 days a week). On Sunday I got there before my friend so I started out doing some weights. By the end of the hour walk on the treadmill, the HR monitor said that I had burned 805 calories!!!
I am going to weigh myself tonight in hopes that a drop will remind me again why I am doing this.
Does anyone have any ideas for things I can do, or think about when I start getting antsy? I am not going to give up right away, but the days seem so long, and the thought of 2.5 more weeks..... hey, 2.5 isn't that bad!!! I kept telling myself 3 weeks, thinking about a month long fast. Now that I call it 2.5 more weeks, I may be able to do this.. Geeze, I seem nuts to you huh?
OK, well I would still love to have some feedback from my readers!

Hey Lb,
are you doing salt water flushes? They seem to help with cravings somehow. Also, you have reached the point where your fast is going to become more emotional. It clears things from your past, as well as physically.
A great place to go would be read some of Zoebess' post on MC forum, when she did long MC. I know Pepe has done many also and am not sure if he ever posted about his 'deep cleansing' experiences. There is a post though on the MC (you do not need to be doing the MC to read these posts) that Pepe has about the cleansing process and what it looks like. Starting day 1-?, then day ?-? and the phases of it (sorry can't remember the days off the top of my head). It is very interesting though.
As for when you get to moments where you can 'eat anything...:D', find an activity to put your mind elsewhere OR sit with the feeling. Sit down, write or whatever works for you and ask what the feeling is. Ask yourself, what are going through in that moment that you 'believe' you need food? If you are quiet, you will hear, feel, sense, a response (it is different for everyone).
Good luck and be easy on yourself. You are doing a GREAT job!
Peace,
Beth

Takes courage to do what you are doing.
The most important days of a fast are when you break it.
Be very careful how you start up eating again.
Can you rest in the sunshine
and appreciate you are in a kind of bloodless surgery?
How about dancing?
