Blog: My First Master Cleanse
2/3/09 7:00a.m. – Yeah!!!! This is it. I’ve made it to the last day. I’m just waiting for the SWF to finish up, and then I can start counting down the number of lemonades I’ll be drinking. Again, I know that I’m focusing too much on finishing, and that’s going to make the day drag on, but I’m so excited that I can’t focus on anything else. I sure hope that I’m so busy today that I before I know it I’ll be done.
4:15p.m. - Ugh…I’m so hungry today. I know that these are detox symptoms and that tomorrow morning I’ll feel great. I’m making some snacks for my boys, and PB & Jelly never smelled so good. It’s taking all of my will power and discipline not to take a small bite of their sandwich…That, and the knowledge that if I did, I would probably be very ill. I’m not going to quit, I will make it. I’m almost there.
10:25p.m. – Oh man that was a tough one. I was hungry all day long. All I seemed to be able to think about was, not having to drink the lemonade anymore. I know its doing wonders for me but ugh! I’m sipping on my tea for the last time and thinking back to the beginning, it seems so long ago, although it was just 10 days. This has been one of the most difficult things I have ever completed. I definitely feel as if I have added another notch in my belt. I know that I’ll be able to pull from this the next time I have something difficult to do.
A lot of people are commenting on how great I look, losing weight and looking younger, and so I explain to them why. They are all so curious and amazed when I tell them that I haven’t eaten in 10 days. Their expression is priceless; it makes me laugh every time I think about it.

CONGRATULATIONS once again.... been saying that all along but having made it this far really needs a very special mention.

WOW !! you are an amazing man. I totaly enjoyed reading about your cleanse. I did a cleanse last year and only made it to day 7. After reading your blog I am going to do another this year and complete it. I will re-read your blog as I do it. I had a tough year and really abused myself in grief and self-pity. I am ready to clean my life of all the pain and crap that comes with it.
You do inspire me though, Thank you.

Wow, you are too kind. I have to tell you, when I first decided to blog about my journey I had no Idea that so many people would take the time to read it let alone reply. And I am very honored and humbled by the fact that you found my journey inspiring. Please let me know how you do on your next fast.
Good luck...Although, I think we both know it's not so much about luck as it is desire.
