Blog: BLogs Frequently Asked Questions
The main differences between Blogs and Forums are:
- Forums are created for discussion between several people while Blogs are mainly designed for a single user input, with possibility for other people to comment.
So, Blogs are more like a simple homepage where other people may contribute with comments, but one person rules, blog owner, and blog owner can delete any comment he/she doesn't like. While, in forums, there could be thousands of people posting topic messages and also adding comments ...
When people try to use forums for the purpose of writing a journal, their messages get lost in the stream of messages, making it hard to follow the story.
Also, people tend to post many short messages inside forums, while blogs are more used for posting longer messages (on average).
CureZone Blogs have the option to post a comment on any and every Blog message, thus making a blog look like a discussion forum (every blog message becomes one little discussion forum).
Blog owner can choose whether or not to make comments visible to the public.

hi,
Very good posting done. Forums are very useful in terms of discussion on various topics. We can exchange our ideas, knowledge and views regarding a single topic worldwide. I am a member of various health related forums which are very good and educational like http://www.diabetesmellitus-information.com/forums/ and http://www.ayurvediccure.com/forums/index.php . I love posting on various sites and is an active member of many other knowledge base forums. Can any body give me list of some good forums so that i can enhance my knowledge.
bye
Maria

- how do I edit a comment? by Ready2Rapture

I've looked all over my blog, but the only place I can see an Edit button is on the main messages. None of the comments (responses), even my own, have the Edit button. Is this a browser or user agent issue? I've tried it on both the Mac (Safari and Firefox) and the PC (Firefox and IE).
Also, is there a way to block a particular member so I don't have to keep checking my blogs for repeated hostile comments?
Thanks, this would help reduce the number of times I have to bug the mods.

Is it possible to rate a message in a blog as we do in the forums so the really good messages don't get lost.
