"So we should be careful not to refresh our page?"
Refreshing page once may sometimes be needed in order to see changes you just implemented.
Software may also forgive if you do it twice.
But, when someone presses refresh button 3 times or 5 times within short time, that is clearly done with intention of "pumping" view numbers. Those people get blocked.

- Is this what happened to me? by TexasPear

Yesterday I was doing a lot of editing on my past couple of blog entries, and after I would edit then I would notice another typo, and go back and edit that, and then I would notice something not worded right, and go back and edit that. Do you think this is why I can no longer access my blog?
If so, what does this mean? That I can no longer update my blog? It is in the top 5 blogs and I think it is clear that I did not cause all those hits by myself. It would be silly of me to try to -- besides, my understanding is that the author's logging onto a blog is not even counted at all, so I wasn't worried about it.
Oh well, I have bigger worries than this today, but posting my questions now in hopes that I will be able to continue my blog. It has been helpful to me, and others have emailed me saying it helps them, so I would really like to continue it. It would be a shame for it all to end abruptly just because I am so bad about speed-proofing my own typing (I hate to edit my own writing...!)
Michele (Deradune was, I thought, my new username -- I'm really confused about all this)
