9/20 - Well, the food thoughts/temptations demons are being held at bay, for now. Had to take Seth to his dentist check up this morning. Wow, that just about did me in. Do all 2 year olds strongly dislike dentists or is mine the only one? I am having a metamucil drink this morning because I'm not too sure if I'll get to do an enema. Little man did not want to go to his nana's house after his check-up trauma. He was still too upset, so no alone time today.
I keep having thoughts of doing my 28 day fast in two parts, like 14 and 14 or 10 and 18. I think it's more about me wanting to eat that really needing to, though. However, I have noticed on two occasions so far that I am a bit less tolerent of my son and have snapped at him. That is not good. I know emotional detox is to be expected on any fast, but not to the extent that my little (terrible 2 year old) boy gets the brunt of the storm. Will need to keep a close check on my emotions.
Note to self for future fasting reference: DO NOT take metamucil - ugh! It's made me hungry and given me some stomach cramping...
Managed to sneak in an enema session while little man was napping, thanks to the tea, I had enough energy to not take a nap with him, although I did lay down with him for about 20 minutes to rest.
Man o man I have wanted to eat today. But alas, the day is almost over and I have not (unless you count that dang metamucil stuff, oh and me mindlessly licking my thumb after putting some crackers on Seth's plate).

Hey!
Just want to let you know that I'm following your progress and really like seeing how you're coming along. You're getting there. I'm fasting right now as well, mainly for weight loss, but I plan to go raw when I do lose the weight. I've got 45 days to lose 20-30 pounds, ideally.
Are you exercising much? I'm trying to, but I just started fasting yesterday and am hoping I don't lose all my energy. I've noticed in the past that when I fast I get irritable as well. I think mine stems from being tired and also really wanting food and not being able to eat it. I agree with you about not really needing food, or even necessarily being hungry. It's a bad habit that I have, of eating just for the sake of eating. I'm hoping this fast will break that. Hey, the food will still be there when this is over anyway, and hopefully I won't even want it then. That's what's getting my through the day.
Anyway, sorry to "talk" your ear off. Keep up the good work! I look forward to reading more from you.

40084,
Hey thanks for the upbeat comment - you are sooo right by saying "Hey, the food will still be there when this is over anyway..." I would do good to remember this at all times through my fast!
Best to you!
