I was not going to respond to your rant but I feel compelled to at least say a few things.
Joe Lieberman,while being an excellent senator, is not being supported by his party and the people who vote democrat,is because he supports the war in Iraq. His party does not. That's why he is losing in the polls to his opponent. Also he has been re-elected numerous times and supported by his peers and there were no talks of anit-semtism then..

didn't I see a photo op and a press conference with the Senate majority leader and conservative Bill Frist and Mary Tyler Moore giving her his supoort on Stem cell research??

Trent Lott's statements. You know exactly what he was saying and so did his OWN party who asked him to step down after his remarks..Thurmond was a racist Dixiecrat,he broke from the Democratic party when Truman wanted to give minorities equal rights and he vehemently disagreed.

Believe me, Jeese Jackson or Al Sharpton do not speak for us. They do have there own agenda,just like the Christian right do for the Republicans. What Jackson said about Hymie town is deplorable.

and of course the worst of the worst Ann Coulter. She is a light weight. I watch her just to see what this mean spirited woman will say. A large majority of the people who buy her books do so because Americans loved to be shocked. Kindof like Howard Stern in the old days(though I would never insult stern by putting him in the same category as Coulter). She truly is disturbed and needs help. You talk of hate,who spews more hate thatn Coulter?

and I ask,can you honesty blame the Dems for all that is wrong with this country and the world today? Republicans own the house and senate,the Whie House and the Supreme court. But a large majority of this country does not like the direction we are heading and a large majority of the world hates us,when they should be embracing us.This ha happened over the last few years and I'm talking countries we call allies.

Vietnam..bogged down? What about Iraq? This little uppoed 2 week wars has been a huge detriment to this country. But you know that already..oh yeah,what about Afghanistan..bogged down there too.

And our current leaderships inability to deal with Korea and Iran..looks what happening now.
You and I can both point fingers. I am one who believes we should all have equal liberties,be it race,sexual prefernces,physical and mental disabilities. I believe one can worship without discrimination and if one does not believe, there should be no discrimination or abuse either.(just like our founding fathers wanted).

While alot of people from the right do not want this. Opposing gay marriage,and gays alotogether..and if you are not christian,you are not worthy of this earth and are doomed for eternal damnation.
I won't even get started on helping the less fortunate.

so I think you need to look at things aliitle more subjectively. There are things about my party that I am totally in diagreement with.

Plus,I vote for someone who I think will be an effective leader,not just by party lines. That's why I think Colin Powell should run. His country desperatley needs
him.
