The Gift of the Gods is Happiness 28 mon
from my revived wordpress blog...I had a true spiritual experience!
The sweetest experience is to wake up in the morning. That is an outrageous privilege to begin with. I was able to open my eyes, and smell the cool air, mixed with...mold? Or outside biomass lol...either way, my intellect wanted to start complaining about my husband and the moldly basement, the leaky water heater. A little switch went off in my head, and I immediately got happy. It was instantaneous. There was no conscious effort on my part, and I ran with it. I started finding more and more reasons to be happy, including having risen early to my full morning routine of reading, writing, c ... read more
Memorizing Rudyard Kipling... A Worthy Endeavour 28 mon
A worthy memory project to help me remember the fallen
I found a beautiful poem that I will memorize as a tribute to the world’s war dead. Why remember ALL the war dead because ALL fought for the good of their country.
So here we go!... Epitaphs of War
“equality of sacrifice”
A. “I was a Have.” B. “I was a ‘have-not.’”
(Together). “What hast thou given which I gave not?”
We were together since the War began.
He was my servant—and the better man.
My son was killed while laughing at some jest. I would I knew
What it was, and it might serve me in a time when jests are few.

Scrapple...a Hunky Breakfast? 28 mon
I am FULL. At least two tablespoons of okra were left in the frying pan! LOL No there is NO excuse for not doing some hard work this morning. This is what my in-laws ate before going to work in the coal mines.
I had two slices of bacon, a sliver of bread to sop up the bacon, and a slice of scrapple LOL...all friend in a teaspoon of coconut oil with some okras for variety and fiber LOL :face palm: I don’t plan on eating again till I have to go to work!
This is a real ”hunky” breakfast my husband would say whenever my father-in-law made ”scrapple”.
Scrapple, also known by the Pennsylvania Dutch name Pannhaas or ”pan rabbit”, is traditionally a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and wheat flour, often buckwheat flour, and spices. The mush is form ... read more
Religion Can Save a Life 28 mon
Good morning! LOL...grab your coffee cups! Your tea cups... wake up! If I'm up, you're up.
Nothing a damn thing wrong with religion if done right. Problem is most people really screw it up lol...
Some good ole fashioned Catholic guilt saved my life many times over. I never had issues with the Catholic church. Just issues with Catholics lol especially here in America in this small town.
However, my conscience is sharpest now as a shaman’s apprentice because I pay attention to what sucks my energy. Energy leaks... and last week when I went into my depression tail spin, I was on my period and not doing chi gong and lost a tremendous amount of energy. I will not make that mis ... read more
My Coffee Bike Lifestyle Saved My Life- An Overview 28 mon
My suicide story...starting tonight...but wait! There will be more...
Memorizing poetry saved my life this week. I am not going to get into it right now because it’s late at night, but I found myself in a depression tail spin this week.
Had some suicidal ideations...if I didn’t know the inside workings of many psych units here where I live, I’d probably check myself in but I didn’t. My desire to not get trapped in a shithole for three days was stronger than death LOL If I thought I was going to hurt myself, I would have gone but it was more like...too much support systems. I reasoned with myself that I didn’t try everything else first.
I repeated INVIC ... read more
Finally!!!! Fourth stanza is programmed 28 mon
The Matrix-style memory programming continues!
Memorization is FUN FUN FUN... It really is like The Matrix and this morning I remembered it as I loaded up the Curezone page lol
My next poem is either going to be Lady of Shalot or the Gods of the Copybook Headings. Rudyard Kipling will probably win out because this ending though...omg!

I'm still stuck on the fourth stanza lol...I'm getting there. Digital amnesia and my womanly monthly issue zapped the brain this morning.
Phenomenal Woman Memory Project 29 mon
my ongoing memory project for my various alzheimer disease fundraisers
I am currently memorizing the poem Phenomenal Woman. Upon rising this morning, I laid in bed reviewing it in my mind...
I missed a whole stanza so I will have to strengthen my memory cues to that stanza. It is a fine thing to memorize poetry.
This is the one I missed:
Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can’t touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them,
They say they still can’t see.
It’s in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of ... read more

The Story of Philemon and Baucis 3 y
A wonderful story about entertaining the gods unawares
Previous Page, Page 5
According to ancient Roman mythology and Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Philemon and Baucis had lived out their long lives nobly, but in poverty. Jupiter, the Roman king of the gods, had heard of the virtuous couple, but based on all his previous experiences with humans, he had serious doubts as to their goodness.
