About Me/Background Information.

Hi! My name is Blayne and I am a 19 year old college student. I am embarking on a 30 day juice fast starting today December 27, 2007. I have been overweight for most of my life and have been on countless diets over the years. In May of 2007, I began a weight loss program (nutrisystem) and lost 40 pounds. Recently though, I have been researching juice fasting. Through curezone blogs and books I picked up at Barnes and Noble, along with many other websites, I found a lot of fantastic information about it! I bought a juice recipe book and a fantastic Breville juicer which I am obsessed with! Prior to today I have undergone several one day juice fasts and eaten raw/juiced for a few days. I am so excited to begin this juice fast! I really want to build up my willpower and become a stronger person. I work at a daycare, and there are CONSTANT temptations all around me to eat. Those kids are constantly eating. Also, I have a wonderful boyfriend of over 4 years who eats HORRIBLY and remains healthy and in shape! So I really need to learn to conquer the temptation to join the rest of the overeaters in my life. Although I am really interested in losing weight on this fast,this is not the only reason why I have decided to engage in it. I want to be healthy. The weight loss program I was on made me feel yucky and lethargic. Through my one day fasts and eating raw for several days, I have learned that it feels FANTASTIC to fast! You feel light and wonderful, and I really want to become healthy. I am really interested in detoxifying my body! I have purchased a lot of bath salts to draw toxins out of my system and plan on bathing in them every night. I am also going to try to exercise, but I am not sure how my body will be feeling. The reason I chose to do a juice fast now is because I am on winter break. I want to be home for most of my juice fast so that I can focus on myself and really enter this the right way. The fast will run into my Spring Semester, so I will have to learn how to balance juice fasting with school when the time comes. I feel that it is important to share my juice fasting experience with others, because I have learned so much from juice fasters before me and from other bloggers on Curezone. I hope that this blog will help others and encourage them to try it as well! I am really excited about this fast, and slightly nervous (i really want to succeed!). My goals for this juice fast are to lose weight, detoxify my body, build my willpower, and become a stronger and better person.
