I feel like I been doing this a hundred years already. I'm not doing the swf so my stomach is not totally cleared out yet; I cleaned house this past weekend. That's major for me. Went to the supermarket looking for rug cleaner...the place is like a minefield...food everywhere. Then went to the movies ...Smelled popcorn through the whole movie. I don't even like popcorn much, but I wanted some...I also considered robbing a lady of her chicken fingers - they looked so good. I drank the carrot juice I brought in with me.
I want to go to sleep and not wake up until I look good in the bikini I bought...I'd probably lose quicker if I stuck to the mc, but I am doing this differently so I come out of this not only thinner but healthier than when I started.
I weighed in on Monday, day 17. I was bummed to see a mere two lb loss & feeling a bit of hurry-up-and-wait-frustration; but tried to maintain perspective. I need to look at the positives: I'm now wearing my summer suits and the tops are a bit big. My hips are usually the first to grow, but the last to go... overall I'm a lot more active. Two days ago I badly wanted to eat something, anything… a sirloin burger from Juniors came to mind...Instead I got a fruit smoothie with blueberries, mango, grapes & cherries. There is an art to everything in this world, you know – including making smoothies. The person who made mine must be unaware that anyone who asks for cherries would prefer the pit be taken out - not blended right in. Thus, I was spitting out pieces of cherry pit as I sipped. It was still a treat to have something different. From now on, when I feel like I’m at the end of my rope, I’ll get a blended fruit smoothie – just not from that guy.
Yesterday I was near tears because I wanted a toasted raisin bagel slathered with super chunky peanut butter and strawberry jam or apple butter. But I persevered. There are daily ups & downs. Today for example, it is warm, but rainy & cloudy. My lovely waves wilted as soon as I stepped outside. When I got to work I looked in the mirror and asked, what happened?! The plus side is the pants I’m wearing are hanging off me. Yes!
Yesterday I added exercise to the mix; a short, full body resistance workout to help me maintain my lean body mass. I will do this a couple times a week and add in 30 minute walks also.
