Juice Fast: Day 3
Juice Fast: Day 3

I've decided not to call this fasting as I am not limiting myself to the amount of juice I can have. I'm having as much as I need and feeling great in the process. Some people call this juice "feasting" but I'm not a proper juice feaster either as I"m not ensuring I have a minimum of one gallon juice each day.
I woke up wide awake at 6:45am today--something unexpected--and I felt great. Kwok encouraged me to go back to sleep as I didn't have to work, but I couldn't sleep so I read and after a few hours, I fell back asleep and awoke at noon! Yi! Nonetheless, I'll consider the reading as my morning and the sleep following as a nap.
So, after having a litre of water, I'm now drinking a glass of strawberry-kiwi juice. Its nice, but not as nice as the cherry juice. I'm surprisingly looking forward to my green juice later this afternoon as, while it tastes slightly disgusting, I feel great afterward.
By the way, I feel better today than I have in years. Currently, there is an abundance of energy. I've also noticed that my face is feeling really hot and I'm wondering if it is detoxing. Earlier this year I put this horrible Dr. Wexler Bath and Body Works product on my face that caused it to literally sunburn right before my eyes. It didn't go away for three days. My face, while not having the horrible burning sensation, feels hot like it did then. I wonder if I'm getting rid of some horrible toxins that product leeched into my skin? Could be, but who knows.
Okay- Elu is on the rampage begging for his walk--so more later!
Its hard to drink something this green. Just looking at it makes you waver for a moment, but its actually not too bad. Currently drinking:
-Okra (which I will never juice again as it creates some sort of horrid slime in the juicer)
-dash of cayenne pepper
-teaspoon of spirulina
The nutrition I am drinking is actually pretty amazing. I can't say I like any peppers but hot peppers in my average life. I'll eat jalapenos and chili peppers readily, but put a yellow, green or red pepper in front of me and I'll begrudgingly eat it. Juicing is such a great way to get other vegetables into your body.
One thing you will not see me juicing: onions. I can't imagine what that would even taste like, but there is one thing you will never catch me eating raw. Most people close to me know I have quite the aversion to onions. I like garlic, but not onions. Unless its supposed to be onion-flavored, like onion soup or onion rings, I hate onions.
Sorry for the rant. That's how much I hate them.
I am having some cramping right now and its uncomfortable. This, however, could be due to the start of that time of the month as well. (I know: TMI!)
Any pain or craving I seem to get comes between 5-7pm, which would usually be the time I start snacking before dinner. Interesting, isn't it?
Now drinking: true pink lemonade
-sweetened with a tad of organic, Scottish honey
I'm feeling slightly guilty about the honey, so I don't think I will do that again.
My final juice of the day is simply heavenly. I tasted it and thought to myself, "Sweet Jesus." The juice I am currently drinking is:
-Half a raw pie pumpkin (grown by me in my own yard! Now that feels great.)
-3 small pears
-Half a pineapple
This is simply divine. We're going to have to buy another pineapple as I still have half a pumpkin left. I wish I had more!
Sleep well everyone!
