Elu is clambering to go out for his walk again, so I'll make this quick. Woke up feeling great again. Have been reading that its better to drink green juice straight away in the morning, but initially that felt like punishment, but now that I've worked it into my palette, I did that this morning.
Juiced and drank so far today:
-Three cups of spinach
-A handful of kale
-2 stalks of rhubarb
-4 stalks of celery
-4 leaves of savoy cabbage
-1 head of bok choi
-A handful of lettuce
-1 teaspoon of spirulina
Okay, time for a doggie walk, then some cleaning and some fresh orange juice! Yum!
-Orange juice from 8 oranges. So yum.
-Half a head of broccoli
-a few leaves cabbage
-a handful spinach
-a handful kale
-4 stalks celery
-1 tsp spirulina
Looking forward to some fruit juice after this one. It's really concentrated green.
Juice from 25 grapes
This makes maybe an ounce. Haha, but its nice and the grapes were going to spoil if I didn't use them soon.
I'm having a glass of cherry juice now from an entire punnet. It doesn't make much. Before I watered it down, but it tastes great just like it is--just there isn't a whole lot of liquid.
I'm really tired now as Kwok and I just spent a few hours taking our tree down. We're going to finish getting it all into the attic tomorrow.
I'm also having some food cravings. My sense of smell has been incredibly heightened already. Kwok made egg noodles tonight and used one of my spicy pumpkin soups as the sauce, as well as cooked some cabbage and vegetables. It smelled amazing, but the egg noodles actually smelled sweet to me. I've never had that sensation before.
Again, these are all things already documented by other fasters.
Another thing that keeps happening to me: if I sit too long, my leg muscles and the muscles on my left arm start to get quite tense. According to most juice fasting websites, this is due to toxins getting caught in the muscles while trying to exit the body. All very interesting.
Have a good night everyone. Day FIVE tomorrow! Woo. I'll be 1/6 of the way there.
