Day 9
My birthday at Chuck E Cheese. Pizza and cupcakes while on the cleanse...
Date: 2/3/2009 1:34:45 AM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 2297 times 2/2/09 6:45 – Yes! Day 9 is here and I can count the number of lemonades that I have to drink on 3 1/5 hands. Again no problem with the SWF and I’m looking forward to finishing up this cleanse and getting back to eating solid food. I’m not sure what my mom has planned for me today, hopefully it won’t include food.
11:15 p.m. – I made it another day. Day 9 is history and only 1 more day to go. I weighed myself this morning and I haven’t lost anymore weight since Saturday but that’s OK, I didn’t do this for the weight loss, that’s just a cool bonus.
Well birthday plans tonight turned out to be a trip to Chuck E Cheese. Chuck E Cheese is a kids place with pizza and games. My 3 year old nephew and I share the same birthday so this was for him. No worries though, my kids and I had a great time too. My mom asked me if I was going and I told her of course. I did have second thoughts though once I got there. We sat at a table with 2 large pepperoni pizzas, and their pizzas are damn good. Also we there were cupcakes, which I love, with candles on them. It all smelled wonderful and my mouth was watering so I got up and went to play some games with my kids. I didn’t give in to the food and I’m still on the cleanse.
I was shocked again at the support I received from the rest of my family. My dad, sister and brother in law were all amazed that I had gone this long without eating, and they seemed genuinely excited and proud of me. They had plenty of questions about the cleanse and I answered them the best I could. My sister asked me how she could go about doing one. I offered her the books and told her where to get the supplies. She asked her husband to do one with her but he very quickly said no. They asked me if it was difficult and I told them yes but I did it, so it is possible. They also seemed amazed that I wasn’t bed ridden and that I had so much energy. Well tomorrow is my last day, I can’t believe I made it. I have to reread the chapter on breaking the fast, and I’m going to have some grocery shopping to do.
