I want to say first of all, that yes I am doing this for weight loss as well as other health benefits. I have some acne and back aches (which i'm sure if partly due to my weight). I just want to feel better over-all!
So I was totally ready to get this thing started. The salt water flush was the first on my agenda...and it was absolutely horrible! I could only stomach about half the solution. I tried to drink more but I probably would have vommited if tried. So I only did about half of it. Then I made my lemonade mixture....which took many more lemons than anticipated, I made 10 servings. I'm guessing the lemons I bought weren't juicy enough. I took a swig of the lemonade and at first it wasn't bad, but that dreadful aftertaste of cayenne was too much to take! I stomached that for part of the day but decided I could never last 40 days or even 3 days on this stuff. So I went to Wholefoods Market and purchased some cayenne capsules. I remade my mixture with just the lemon juice, water and maple syrup. Still not the best tasting drink, but at least I could keep it down reasonably well, I just take a capsule of cayenne with my servings. I think I concentrated so much on the side effects making sure I was ready for them, that I totally underestimated my taste for the tea and salt flush! Side effects for me were reasonably mild, I did use the bathroom quite often. I urinated and BM'd quite often. I had some stomach cramping and a mild head ache. All in all, things are going well so far. Weight as of the morning of the 2nd day is 208.0. Yay~!
