9 am....Day 1 of 32 on my first juice fast. I have been planning the last couple of days to start on Sunday. I have been eating less, and drinking juice for 2 meals a day. But then I woke up this morning thinking - why wait till tomorrow??? I am ready to start today!! Of course I stood on the scale and that helped motivate me. lol I wont weigh again till Jan 31st... that is my half way marker. I dont want to be obsessed about my weight, I DO want to lose weight but I want to feel better!!
I bought a juicer. Not a very expensive one - but one that seems to work really well. So I tried carrot juice for the first time this week. It really was good!! I was pleasantly surprised. I mixed carrot and apple juice together and that was amazing!!
The reason I am doing 32 days instead of the 30 - is because my mom is starting on Sunday... so I am just adding in two additional days. I am not going to push her past the 30 days or ask her to start early - I just hope she can stay with it too!! I could use some support as I know she can too.
This morning I had some warm water with lemon. I have not had any juice yet. I figured it would be easier to drink something every couple of hours to keep my energy up.
A tid bit about me. I am a married mother of 4 and run my own business from my home. That is a plus there, since I dont have to worry about juicing outside the home too much - but life can get SO busy at times and very stressful. I am a stress eater and that is going to be my hardest battle... but I am ready for the war!! lol
I will keep this up to date. I figured being able to write out how I am feeling will definitely help!!
GW 150 (eventually - not on this fast:) )
9:47 - So I was just reading this article and I wanted to share this statement.
"If you were 25 pounds overweight, it would add an additional 250 pounds of pressure on your back every time you bend over." OMG - really?? Maybe that is why my back hurts alot - I have an extra 500lbs of pressure on my back... Another motivation!!
