Natal Moon in the 9th House -
"Expanding your mind can make you feel best, and you want to learn about other ways of life. Whatever your life is, you’re intrigued by the opposite, so if you grew up normal, you like eccentric, and if you grew up eccentric, you like normal."
(I have to interject at this point. I have no idea what "if you grew up normal" means! However, I can imagine that from an outermost perspective of some complete stranger it might appear that I grew up in a non-eccentric fashion based on attending public schools for twelve years, going to day camps and Summer Camp for about eight Summers and generally homogenized into the non-eccentric society that existed on Chicago's Northwest side during the 50s and the 60s. From that perspective then I can say I was "intrigued by the opposite"! And I'll acknowldge that in light of my "love at first sight" at my initial contact with the pradigm-breaking double album: "Freak Out" shortly after its release and especially mister eccentric, the "Grand Wazoo" maestro himself: Frank Zappa! Then I adopted a somewhat eccentric life only to be counter balanced a few years later with what (once again) might appear the opposite of that (I just hate to use the word "normal" when I describe myself or my life) however, in my book - outer appearances are only that - appearances, like what an actor wears on the stage only that the world is a stage!):
Continuing with my "natal":
"... You can be interested in philosophy, maybe quoting the great minds of the world, though at times you may not fully understand it."
(I use to quote Frank! ; ~ )
" ... you don’t mind sharing what you know with others. ... you may have difficulty putting down roots.)
(I had that difficulty! So now I just put down compost instead! ; ~ )
" Your home is the road, or some faraway place in your head. "
(It's that later of the two now.)
"Learning to appreciate the present and what you have at this moment is something that will have to be cultivated, otherwise you’ll never really be happy, always looking for the bigger, better deal."
(It's come to the point in my life where all that matters to me is the presence and the presents of the present!)
"You need a life that allows you to explore while still being able to enjoy the moment."
(I'm happy to say that I got that liife now!)
Natal Moon in Cancer -
"You need to feel supported and nurtured, and you like to nurture others as well. You want comfort and familiarity and aren’t fond of major changes ... You can really get in touch with your emotions, being not only a water sign but the natural ruler of the Moon ... Your home and family is vitally important, and you need warm surroundings and a happy hearth. You like peace, you like stability, and you want people to be real. ... You’re sensitive ... and you can feel quite deeply. ..."
Check out your natal:
"With your natal Sun square or opposite your natal Moon, you have a lot of struggle with what you want versus what you need out of life. ... with the square, it’s external. You have a hard time focusing your energy and will on one thing, and you feel pulled in different directions at the same time."
(Amazing how true this has been for me!)
"... You likely had issues with your parents being too demanding or wanting different things from you."
(Finally there is an outer world reference to the story of my upbringing in one f***ing line!)
"You are driven, and if you can find a way to channel the energy, you can be very successful."
(I'm building that channel now! ; ~ )
