Yesterday I thought I had 38 more days of short term disability left but found out I am approved for 98 more days of short term disability. Thank you God. However, if I want to keep my current job I need to go back to work next week and be full time by August 18. I had to create a plan for how I was going to do that and have my oncologist approve it. Not only will he not approve it, the insurance company will not approve it, and the Accommodations Management department at work will not approve it. So after 14 years I am going to need to find another job...that is if I am cured or ever well enough to work again. I don't think I can do my job right now - my mind is muddled from the Votrient and sometimes I cannot formulate what I am trying to say. I know the word but my brain cannot find the connection to make it come out of my mouth. I'm weak and my reaction times are slow. And most important I do not think I want to have a job that is SO stressful. I don't think I can handle the adrenaline rushes and working 24 hours straight during outages. So guess I need to make another decision.
We need to get a water treatment system to improve my chances of recovery. With a weakened immune system it is important that the water I'm drinking is chemical free, virus and bacteria free, fluoride and chlorine free and soft. These systems are expensive. $5500 for all of the features we need. Another decision.
Today my naturopath doctor recommended I try SeaBands for my nauseousness and they worked like a dream! It is so nice that I didn't have to take another drug so I don't feel like barfing. She also recommended Ginger tea from the health food store (sweetened with honey) and sip on it all day. Also Ginger lozenges or chews will help.
