My grandson had been sick with a cold when my daughter asked me if he could stay at my house, so she could go to work. A day care would not allow such a thing but grandfathers never say no to such requests. I was around my grandson, whose mother lives in both my alternative health world and her mother's vaccine, antibiotic, and cold medicine world. I watch my grandson from time to time and he came over last week with a cold. I was very suprised to catch a cold from my grandson but maybe I allowed it to happen so I could learn something new.
For me: I take apple cider vinegar almost each day and it has prevented me from getting any kind of illness for over two years. I felt a little bit of a scratchy throat. I still took my ACV but I amped up on the cayenne , turmeric, and cinnamon.
Day 1: I put three dashes of cayenne into my juice plus I added two dashes of turmeric and cinnamon. The scratchiness did go away but it came back in the afternoon. I also took two vitamin c tablets and a zinc-magnesium tablet during the day. I intuited adding a little wild oregano oil but did not take it as it is strong stuff and I didn't think I would need it to defeat this cold. In the evening, I duplicated what I did in the morning.
Day 2: In the morning, to my great suprise, I coughed a few times. I became hoarse again. I used the same ingredients as before in the morning and added a little bit of local honey. In the afternoon, I added one tiny drop of wild oregano oil. By the evening, my cold was mo more.
*During all of this time, I was drinking several glasses of clean water and added a tiny pinch of Himalayan pink unrefined sea salt to each glass.
For my youngest daughter: My two year old daughter has only had a runny nose for three or four days in her life. She is the healthiest human being I have ever known. Her body has never been given any kind of allopathic medication-ever.
Day 1: The day after my sick grandson came over, my daughter began having a runny nose. She never coughed but the runny nose she began having was an indicator to me that her body was fighting mucous. She does not take apple cider vinegar regularly. Her main defense is a healthy immune system. As soon as I saw she was getting a runny nose, I gave her a "treat" of a little bit of rootbeer and added a tiny bit of cayenne and apple cider vinegar. I know it is a trick but a rare sugary drink is the only way I can get her to drink apple cider vinegar. The runny nose left her by the evening. I also gave her a multi-vitaman with vitamin c.
Day 2: Although my two year old did not have a runny nose anymore, during the second day she began having a slight fever. I gave her a little more rootbeer with a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar and cayenne. I also got her to drink a little salty water with Himalayan unrefined sea salt. By the evening time the fever broke. I believe my daughter's amazing immune system knocked the cold out but I did what I could to help it along on its way.
My baby daughter never had cow's milk. She was breastfed by her mother until she was 18 months old. This may also be a reason why she has a terrific immune system and only rarely has mucous.
My Grandson: My first wife is a dear woman who has always done what the doctor told her. She encouraged my daughter to vaccinate my grandson. She also encouraged my daughter to take my grandson to a doctor who would give my grandson anti-biotics when he had an ear ache. My daughter listened when she encouraged my daughter to put my grandson on formula. He had a lot going against him. His bowels are congested most days and he only has one one bowel movement a day. He is a typical child who has been caught in the web of the allopathic world where parents surrender their children to doctors and drugs as a means of combating illness. My opinion is that a little apple cider vinegar, a few herbs, spices, clean water and a little unrefined sea salt can defeat most anything a vaccine or antibiotic could prevent or "cure." I believe drugs and vaccines actually cause damage and weaken the immune system.
Day one: We took my grandson off of formula during the day. We gave him lots of water. I crushed up a little vitamin C and put it in his apple juice. I also put a tiny, tiny bit of apple cider vinegar and cayenne in his apple juice. He has no fever but his runny nose is tough and sinewy. No fun... We give him lots of water during the day and keep him overnight. He actually has a rare two bowel movements and begins feeling better by the morning.
Day 2: His mother picks him up in the morning. Even though I told my oldest of four daughters to keep my grandson off of formula and feed him fruit and non mucous foods, at least until he is over the cold, she does not yet understand what her father is talking about. She puts him back on formula.
Day Four: My grandson visits me. Everyone in my hosehold has defeated the cold. My grandson still has the cold and his bowels are congested. We give him ricemilk or applejuice as a substitute for his formula with oatmeal. We give him fruit baby food that my daughter has given us to feed him. We give him diluted apple juice. We also give him lots of water with a tiny bit of Himalayan sea salt. He resists drinking water and prefers formula but he drinks the water. I crush up a vitamin c tablet and put it in his oatmeal. His mother picks up her grumpy son. His bowel movements are treasures he saves for his mother when she picks him up in the evening. Apparantly he gave them some powerful gifts when he goes home. I believe an infant should have at least three bowel movements a day. Giving a child lots of clean water will help in this process.
Day Five: My grandson is over his cold/ My daughter calls me and asks me about ricemilk. Maybe she will come around to her father's way of thinking after all? I hope so soon.
