There are various types of fasts: water, fruit juice, wheatgrass,religious,etc.
'Nutritional fasting': freshly made fruit juices (or vegetables) and purified/distiled water. Queen Afua also recommends specific vegetable juices as well as herbs.
Chlorophyll is a must during a fasting program of this nature according to her book.
