Rice yogurt can be easily made from dairy yogurt,

I've been wqorking on making Yogurt for a few days now and have finally got a good batch of it!
The way I made it was I put like 2-3 cups of rice in the vitamix and then filled it up to the 7 1/2 cup mark with water and then added roughly a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of stevia(I keep my stevia and salt in shakers so I'm just aproximating, it could be less).
I wized that up in the vita mix until it got to boiling point and got thick.
then I let it cool and then added reguler yogurt to it.
I guess the concept of yogurt is that there's what are called probiotics in it and the're basicly "good bacteria", and they need something to multiply in.
so rice yogurt apearantly works great!
and anyways, once I got the reguler yogurt in the rice "yogurt" I put it in a warm room to let the bacteria multiply. and then after about 12 hours or so I took it down and tasted it and it was good so I redid the recipe and made some more because a member in my family can't have dairy(thus the whole reason of making rice yogurt).
so after doing about three "cultures" of "yogurt" I figured there was low enough dairy in it to be "safe to eat".
so I took some tangerine flavoured essential oil and put a couple drops in a bowl full of yogurt and added a few sprinkles of stevia,
and had everyone taste it. everyone loved it! Dad said it tasted better than icecream
and mom said it was pretty good and Mary said it was great but she liked it better with peaches instead of tangerine oil. I encourage everyone to try this recipe out!
and if you don't have a VitaMixn then you can boil the rice in a cooking pot and just add it to your blender
EDIT: if you do end up making this recipe then be sure and cover your dish with a napkin or rag
