All-fruit. Losing weight. Feeling happy.
Day 3 and I've unexpectedly lost weight. Beautiful day outside and I'm feeling pretty good today.

Well color me surprised. I lost 5 pounds. Lately I haven't been weighing myself obesssively like I've done for years now. I'd just gotten to the point that I didn't even want to know anymore :(
But a few days ago, prior to switching to all-fruit I weighed in at 165. My weight had been around that for a while. It had gotten over 170, and after a couple days of fasting a few months ago, I got it back down pretty stable at 165. The idea, back then was to go until I hit my goal, but of course that didn't work out. But it was like, 3-4 days of fasting, and then my body seemed to settle in at 165. So I've been thankful that it hasn't really gotten out of hand any MORE than it already has. But when I'd overeat like CRAZY for a couple of days, the scale would inch back up toward 170 and it was not heartening. But no one should gorge the way that I do sometimes anyway, so for the most part, my weight's stayed around 165.
Annnnyway. How boring. But what I'm getting at, is that 3 days ago I was 165, and I hadn't really thought about losing weight. I desperately want to be thin again, but wasn't expecting anything immediate, and really am working toward better health and a better physique, so I wasn't going to fret over the scale. But I jumped on today, just for the hell of it. And I was 160. Moved it to three different rooms, just to make sure there wasn't some tilt or uneven flooring causing the drop, but consistently 160. Yay! Days of fasting doesn't work this well. And trust me, I know this is probably just that little kick you get when you first start on some new eating regimen, and I know the weight loss won't be like this all the time. I realize I'm gonna hit some bumps and stall sometimes. I'm prepared for that. But 5 pounds, when I wasn't even worrying about it, well that's such a pleasant surprise!
And I feel calmer and happier. More in-tune with everything. I HAVE still been doing coffee, but I think cutting out all that junk---especially wheat and refined stuff--has made a huge difference already. And, onto the BM--FABULOUS. I feel so much cleaner!
I can only imagine how much better I'll feel once I'm off the coffee for good.
Today so far I've had one pickle. Finished the jar, and won't buy anymore, as they're not really supposed to be part of this I don't think. But that and some canteloupe. And the coffee. And I feel pretty darn good.
I have class in a bit, so I'm gonna go sit on my balcony and read.
I'm so thrilled right now with this little bit of progress.
Oh, and I'm sleeping better already, and not for 12 hours at a time. I'm not able to sleep late, yet I wake up feeling pretty rested.
And one last thing. Every now and then I get a couple of little bumps behind my ears. I don't know what they are. Not zits. They don't "pop." But they're tiny and not noticeable, except to the touch. They always came and went, but I couldn't make them go away on my own. They have to leave on their own. I'd noticed they were back, but they're almost gone now, after only 3 days.
