I would love the convenience of just being able to buy the Rejuv. brand at the store once a week, worth the price to not have to hassle with making it, but I can't seem do digest even lactofermented cabbage. Major smelly gas fest.
I made my own for awhile, back when I was trying the Body Ecology Diet (which I may be trying again), and my first few batches turned out great, but then I got a couple bad ones for reasons unknown, at least they seemed bad to me, and I gave up. They still were about 1/2 cabbage in the mix, though. I can't remember if it gave me gas then. It probably did.
Does anyone do, or know how to do lactofermentation with veggies other than cabbage? Like carrots, beets, granny smiths, daikon, etc.? It seems like every recipe I've seen calls for about 1/2 cabbage if it's a veggie mix, as if there is something in the cabbage that makes it ferment properly.
