My protocol was to take 1 tablespoon of psyllium fiber ( with husks ) , one tablespoon of Bentonite
and 1 tablespoon of liquid caprylic acid added to about 12 ounces
of water and drink immediately in the morning on an empty stomach. I then avoid food for about an hour. It works both mechanically and chemically. The psyllium bulks up and the the liquid caprylic acid is forced into the gut wall as the fiber sweepes it clean so the the caprylic acid comes in direct contact with the candida. This is highly effective. However I would not recommend it until you are regular first. The shakes can be very constipating. You need to drink extra water after you take the shake and throughout the day. I found I could manage easier if I did every other day day or every third day.
The shakes tended to slow me down so after doing them for months I slowly got away from it and in its place started eating giant salads pretty much everyday. In the salad I use lots of tougher crispy lettuce and other greens. I add 2-3 or more crushed cloves of garlic, some olive oil and Sea Salt
. I believe that mechanically it works the same way and I have experienced die off from doing this also. The good news is that it does not constipate and is very nutritious. I have basically been using the salads without the shakes now for probably a year. And I continue to make progress.
I will warn you that if you have alot of candida the shakes could make you feel aweful. They used to make me sick for about an hour or so after I took them. If the die off is too much then continue doing shakes but leave out the caprylic acid for a few shakes in between. The fiber alone does an excellent job of absorbing toxins and sweeping everything out. Enemas are also a huge help here.
