Actually, you make some very good points about Sigmund Freud, although it is important that we don't throw the baby out with the bath water! I have NEVER understood why he is still so highly regarded and continues to have such a strong influence on the mental health field and with psychotherapists! The man was an incompetent clinician, misdiagnosed patients left and right, grossly misrepresented his 'cure' rate, didn't have the backbone to stand up to his colleagues regarding his earlier theories about sexual abuse, was a known womanizer and misogynist who had a horrid impact on the attitudes and beliefs about women, and he was a damn cocaine addict to boot! Psychotic? Ya... I would say he was psychotic alright! And just look at his photographs... does he LOOK like a happy person?!

Yet while I recognize that Freud was himself a very disturbed human being, that doesn't negate the fact that he made some legitimate contributions to our understanding of the workings of the mind. His theories about the unconscious mind revolutionized our understanding of the mind, and his theory of a life and death instinct are consistent with virtually any spiritual tradition and mythology in existence!

What I don't get about YOU though is this...

Why do YOU... 2Sirius... have such a need to attack people who even share some of the same views that you do? Is this not an indication of YOUR mental distress? You and I have gotten along very well in the past... and now just because I don't agree with all YOUR views... it appears that I have now suddenly become one of YOUR enemy! Is that not ALSO an indication of a disturbed human being? I mean... c'mon... how happy can you be if you are so often going around the CureZone Forums and spewing so much venom?

Your rage is about YOU... and NOT about the people that YOU are attacking! And believe it or not... I still like you and know that you have a lot of good things to share! You're just another scared person who's in pain and hasn't healed themselves yet. And if you would stop your angry tirades you just might get some help from the people that care about you!
