So I have had this problem for about 1 yr. I tried protopic and the peeling and hard skin has stopped. my only concern is that once i discontinue it, the peeling will start again. The other thing is that now that the peeling has stopped the skin that grew back that used to peel looks different that the rest of the skin on my lips. At times you can see a clear difference. This is a reply to # 1,222,476I don't think that many people have been cured to share with you, that are still here at least lol. But if you meant for people who still have EC, it is very clear to see the parts affected by EC, especially on my top lip, you can see the jagged edges that are light red turn to dark red. - Re: Cured but now have other problem... This is a reply to # 1,222,476pisces2008 did you buy protopic or is it only a prescriiption cream????????? How long did you use protopic before the peeling started?? did your lips grow skin and go white in water?

But seriously ..You might want to stop using Protopic.Theres dangers for it,specially if u keep on using it longterm
