I've been reading with interest some of the posts in this forum off and on for the past year or so. I need to get some books on the subject, because even though, like most people I"m really put off by the idea, I'm also really intrigued at the thought that something that simple at Zero cost could have the kinds of health benefits it claims to. What I'm unsure about is whether you can still use it if you are taking any drugs at all - I do take the occasional aspirin and sleep aid, though I know they are both poison. I'm not perfect.
Did anyone watch Oprah today on the topic of Bird Flu? I"m sure it put the fear in lots of people, and the one thing I'd heard before that was of concern to me was the fact that a healthy immune system will "go into overdrive" and actually work against you with this strain of flu (which, you know, may or may not be the pandemic they're warning about), but it obviously made me think that natural anti-virals and maybe homeopathics would be the remedies of choice. I read here somewhere that urine therapy can work like homeopoathy, so that if you are sick or get sick with something, it recycles a little of what ails you to stimulate the immune system to go after it. Although, would that not be indicated, then, in the case of bird flu if high-functioning immune system is a problem?
Food for thought....
