Hello all,
After a disasterous reaction to Gabapentin, and the failure of my Dr's to tell me why I have been so ill, I did some research, stumbled across candida and after checking some of the symptoms (chronic sinus problems, IBS type symptoms, crawling skin, massive fatigue, concluded that this is what I may have.
After already being tested for celiacs, taking the giardia medication as well as
Antibiotics for possible intestinal bacteria (none of which worked), I've decided to explore the option of candida treatments. The Dr's rolled their eyes at me when I told them about it, I've been on the diet for 2 weeks and they agreed to let me have nystatin, which I was on for a week. The nystatin didn't really seem to do anything and I am now keen to try diflucan, however it's very expense for the 200mg tablets and I don't think I can afford to try it and was wondering if it was worth taking the one-off 150mg dose available over the counter? Furthermore, will the 50mg once a day for a month be worth the while? It's considerably less expensive than the 200mg, but I have noticed that most people usually take the 200mg dose.
Thankyou in advance
