Aloha, I too, have had a problem with excessive stomach gas after eating. Here is what I have found. You may be suffering with these symptoms because of too little stomach acid. If your stomach does not have enough stomach acid (hypoacidity) then the food does not properly digest and actually will begin to ferment, giving off gas and causing your stomach to bloat and may even push the acid up into your esophagus. I went to see an E.N.T doctor who prescribed an antacid called Zantac. The medication only made the symtoms worse because it neutralized the little acid I did have in my stomach. Many MD's don't realize that many people have problems with too little stomach acid, not too much. I finally got smart and went to a respected health food store here in Hawaii and they recommended a digestive enzyme to help increase my stomach acid during digestion. I am getting very positive results. Far less belching and bloating because my food is now being more completely digested. The store also let me borrow a report entitled The Secret Link Between Indigestion and Disease. It was written by an organization called Health Alert out of Monterey, Ca, 1-800-231-8063. If you call them, thay may be able to send you a copy of this report. There is a lot of very valuable information in the report. Bottom line. We are literaly bombarded with commercials telling us to take yet another pill to cure our upset stomach. Don't but into all the commercials pushing antacids, they will probably make your problem worse. I hope I have been of some help to you. Aloha.
