Hey Josh...thanks for the reply. She and I both understand the importance of diet and supplements, but when candida is extremely systemic, a lot of the normal recommendations have little to no effect. She has been doing an anti-candida diet for many months and I know from first-hand experience that a lot of the products for candida do little to nothing. For example, I spent thousands and multiple thousands out of pocket on my son's candida issues and he got better for a few months but relapsed even though he wasn't going crazy on a bad diet and he was continuing the supplementation, though not as much. He was on about 5 different supplements, including "the best" probiotics, oil of oregano, strict diet, virgin coconut oil, etc.....I learned about candida for myself personally around 1991 when it was still considered a voodoo diagnosis by medical doctors. I know first-hand that it's pretty difficult to get under control, even with the best supplements.
I started knocking my head against a wall because of the money we were spending with very little to no breakthrough. For some reason, there are some people who just do not experience the breakthrough some do....I've heard that candida can migrate to your joints and at that point, it's almost impossible to kill, but it is possible to control. Currently, my son has been on candiclear5, fivelac, and some other things, and he has been on these things for months, and been pretty strict on his diet, and he is still experiencing bad candida issues.
My best friend has experienced similiar things and is just downright desperate because of the staph problem. She has been doing a lot of the regular stuff, but this staph issue has really scared her.
I know you are a big believer in iodine, and I do appreciate your feedback in that regard. I've read some but do plan on reading some more. Thanks again.
