Well, how bad do you want to get well? How much work are you willing to put into it?
I'll tell you what Dr. Schulze
says about diet, and then you can decide what you want to do. He has three different diets that he put people on. The first is what most people on Curezone call the "80-20 vegan diet." This is a wonderful diet for healthy people who want ultimate health, like athletes who want an edge on their competition or fit models, Here you'd eat fruit for breakfast, an enormous salad for lunch or some kind of raw veggie wrap or something, and cooked vegan food like your lentil soup or baked potatoes and some great whole grain bread with a salad for dinner and maybe more fruit before bedtime if you want. Another way to do it is just fill any plate or bowl you have with about 3/4 raw food and 1/4 cooked vegan. Like if you wanted a cup of lentil soup, you'd have three cups of salad, too. And you can have anything you want in the salad as long as its fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, and seeds in any combination.
The second diet is for people who have some kind of health issue they can't shake, and they need a terrific detox diet/food program to help them get rid of the nasties and then rebuild their bodies. This is raw vegan, and yes, it means no cooked food at all. You can dehydrate some things, and warm some food up, but you don't actually cook anything. There are some amazing "cook"books out there on this. You can't imagine how great you'd feel eating like this for a month.
Finally, for people who have a serious, chronic, incurable, or terminal disease (or for anyone else who wants to heal FAST), you go to all juices. About a gallon of juice every day- a glass every hour. You might think this will starve you to death, but it doesn't. You've got more nutrition going through you than you could EVER eat, and it can be 3000-5000 calories every day. But of course, to go on the juice fasting program, you have to have your elimination channels open, and that means the bowel program of IF#1 and IF#2.
On top of any of these food programs, you're supposed to have at least two smoothies every day which are a cinch to make. In any ol' cheap blender you have, you pour 8 oz
fruit juice of your choice, 8 oz
pure water, throw in a 1/2 cup to a cup of fruit or a banana, and a tablespoon or two of Superfood. Give it a whirl, and tada! This has like 40% protein by volume, and the absolute most powerful super foods known to man in it. It has plant minerals, assimilatable Vitamin C, vitamins... it's gorgeous stuff.
Dependence on IF#1: no, you won't get dependent on it if you change your lifestyle to a more healthy one, which is what you say you want to do. There is absolutely nothing in there to get you "hooked." Nothing. IF #2 neither. It is safe. Absolutely, positively safe and natural. You can use this for ten years and it will still be safe to use. And you could go off it the next day and walk away from it if you wanted. All it does is get your bowels to "squishing." That's all. What happens in constipation is that your bowels AREN'T working properly, and that's where people get sick. They can't eliminate their toxins on their own because their "plumbing" is gummed up.
I tell you what- do the program I gave you for a week. Two weeks would be better. Do it to the very best of your ability. Take the IF #1-2 during that time. Pick one of the three food plans and stick to it faithfully. Exercise, get out in the sun, all that. You might lose a little weight, but it's the nasty stuff that's bloating your tummy out. It needs to come out before you can start bulking up.
Commit to it for a week or two, and let us know how you feel at the end of that time. Sound like a plan?
You can do it, Ali.
