i use the following ingredients:
brocoli, spinach (a lot), carrot, celery, green beans, green and yellow zucchini, squash, fresh tomatoes, a few green apples, fresh garlic. i place all in a pot and cover with water, bring to boil then simmer unitl all the veggies are completely cooked. i usually strain, put the broth aside and then place veggies back in pot cover with water, bring to boil, simmer and then strain again. I then mix the two lots of broth together. that way i get two lots of broth out of one lot of veggies. i blend the strained veggies and freeze and use in soups, stews, and casseroles in the future. i add it to my spaghetti meat sauce and the kids dont even know! you can add any veggies you like to the broth these are the ones i like. i steer clear of potatoe and try to add more green leafy. its really whatever you like or what you can get, whats in season etc. the apples just sweeten it a bit. you can add any fresh herb. i avoid using any salt or any other additives. to others this is pretty bland but when you have come off a fast (or while you are on it)this is the most yummiest thing ever!
