This just in at my Yahoo Oleandersoup group (a non-commercial group about oleander and natural health):
The Sutherlandia OPC by itself (2 caps per day) or in conjunction with 2 capsules of NAC per day should also be adequate to hold any type of flu at bay. It specifically boosts the immune system by promoting the formation of the TH1 subtype of CD4 cells which are responsible for protecting all body cells against invasion by fungi, viruses, bacteria and other pathogens. Those people taking the S/OPC for cancer, AIDS or other systemic diseases should thus already be protected against the Swine flu.

what is NAC? I am taking Miracle-Mineral-Supplement and Essiac tea right now. Do you think I should add Sutherlandia to that?
and for my offspring, 16 and 22, what do you think...
(It would be nice if I could combine some things, as money is at a minimum, heah.)

Absolutely add the OPC. I am not a fan of MMS due to concerns about long term effects of oxidative stress but I like Essiac tea quite a bit.
NAC stands for N-Acetyl Cysteine
Since it takes time to build natural immunities and there are some concerns about this strange flu, I suggest you take a look at:
It contains pretty much the bulk of my research into natural ways to avoid and beat influenza, with some specific suggestions for the Swind and Avian flus. I think it is essential, for those flus especially, to include anti-virals as well as have a supply of good quality colloidal silver on hand.
