Correct, the H202 was NOT getting me anywhere in the end. It would clear up the brain fog for a couple days, but then it would come back even worse. I kept using it hoping for that first two days of mild relief, but it just made everything much worse. The body must reestablish it's pro-biotic and gut balance, and H20H will never accomplish this.
The Body Ecology Diet recomends as many cultured foods as you can use (working up slowly on the dairy such as kefir). For ME, it turns out MY body can't process any lactose whether it's cultured or not and it ended up fermenting IN my digestive tract promoting candida. The main crux of the diet shows you how to prevent fermentation IN the gut - as that is a main trigger for candida growth. Foods fermentated outside of the gut are great, inside the gut a BIG no no. So food combining is very important, mainly seperating proteins, from oils and carbs. This process really get's the gut ecology back into balance. You also learn to pay attention to which foods your body just can't process.
The Body Ecology Diet recomends avoiding corn for many people, but it turns out I do fine on corn (I'm a blood type 0). I did study and use a bit of Peter Adamo's book as well, but that was all secondary really as far as candida goes.
Stevia is the only real prebiotic I used, and then all the raw leafy greens especially chicory helped to feed the pro-biotics. This is why it's actually a little important to get back on a wise amount of healthy carbs as soon as one can since they are needed for pro-biotics to live on. I didn't need the over the counter PRE-biotics myself. The only supplements other than food I have been using is the caprilic acid and Florgan3. This program has also saved me ALLOT of money. :-)
I should mention that, by cure I mean exhibiting NO further symptoms. I am still vulnerable, and have to maintain at this point or I can sense symptoms returning. One day I hope to be completely out of the woods, but this program is healing to be sure.
Good questions, thanks for asking.
