Almost thirty years ago we bought a house that had huge power lines running along just the other side of the back alley.  We were a bit worried but I did not know then what I know now and we were assured there was no danger.  Just as we have been assured for decades right up to this day that there is little or no danger with microwave ovens and towers, TV sets, computer monitors, cell phones, etc..

After we moved in, we noticed that the grass seemed to be somewhat stunted beneath the power lines and again we worried, but almost every source we could find said not to worry - except for a couple of books that industry villified which said we should worry quite a bit.

Still later, we discovered that every single child who lived on our side of the street had learning and/or behavior disorders, including my son.

Coincidence?  I think not.  But in a profit first, safety last society you can bet that they will continue to make every effort to hide the true dangers of EMF rather than face the huge costs it would take to fix the problems or do away with them.
