stool testing is notiously unreliable in the western hemisphere where doctors have very limited knowledge about parasites. many ppl go to countries in asia and south america to get tested. nevertheless, you can always ask for blood serology (anti-bodies) against any parasite, altho this is costly and doctors will be reluctant to do it.
