My experience with Trace Mineral Research was not pleasant. Their supplement caused me more problems than it helped I feel. Go ahead and try it though to see what it does for you. My heart palps only got worse with it.

Have you tried to increase your potassium intake at all? It sounds like your deficient in potassium. Have you had your potassium/sodium level checked?

I use Morton's Salt Substitute. It's potassium choride instead of sodium chloride.

By the way, stop drinking tap water. Get spring water, even if it's just ozarka brand. I also have a shower filter that filters most of the garbage out of the water, which I would highly recommend.

I think the important thing is understanding why you're feeling dehydrated. It doesn't sound like water deficiency as you're having plenty of water. It could be electrolytes as you say, but it could also be other things. Other possible causes of feeling dehydrated to consider are:

- Essential fatty acid deficiency - are you having enough essential fats? (eg fish for omega 3, flax seeds, stuff like that?)
- Potassium deficiency - are you eating a lot of fruit and veg? nuts? these are good sources of potassium
- Excessive sodium intake (especially if unbalanced with potassium intake)
- Certain medications which can cause thirst, including diuretics
- Large loss of fluids eg through sweating (eg a lot of exercise?), diarrhoea, excessive urination, vomiting
- Zinc deficiency - this can sometimes affect how thirsty (and hungry) you feel
- Consumption of dehydrating food and drinks eg caffeine and alcohol are dehydrating or diuretic

The best 'grounding' I have ever experienced.

Fear, nervousness, indecision, loneliness...all disappear so fast that one has to deliberately notice that the 'problem' has disappeared...you feel only like yourself...ready to take on life with a smile.


Take a good-sized handful of the salt crystals (mine come through http://www.heartfeltliving.com ), and place in a jug. Add clean water (even distilled) to the top of the container. Leave overnight.

In the morning, if there are still unmelted crystals in the container, the water contents are exactly 26%, sole (pronounced so-lay)...which is the 'saturation' melting limit for Himalayan Crystal Mineral Salts. (No more crystals will melt until you add more water, and leave overnight.)


Then, take a measure of sole, and put it in your bathing container. Add 26 more measures of warm water. That gives you a 1% solution.

Dip in a patch of your skin and soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Your skin will take in exactly the minerals you need, and push out any you have in excess; it's automatic.


The first time I did this I was in the throes of fear of dying. I had had boxes of Himalayan Crystal Mineral Salt, in various grinds, in my cupboard for three years.

I didn't know what it would 'do' to me.

The next morning, I was coming downstairs and I realized that I had slept well, and that I felt well...interested in whatever was ahead...NOT as I had felt the night before!


For a full bath at 1%, premelt 1 kg. (2.2 lbs.) Himalayan Crystal Mineral Salts (preferably the finest grind...for speed) in hot water, in a bucket, or in the bottom of your average-sized bathtub. Fill tub as usual (lightly warm) and soak in it.

It won't hurt your pipes.

The distributor of mine said that she takes a teaspoon of the sole, in a glass of plain water every morning, and has for years. I prefer the baths.

If you buy these salts from another distributor, check its authenticity. One fellow said that the pink in his brand came off on his hand.

I don't know about anyone else's, but, in my experience, anything that works is liable to be cloned.

Why anyone would make a phony product when everyone knows that it is FUTURE sales that will make your reputation and fortune, is beyond me.

P.S. It is easy to reduce your usual 'table salt' intake. You get used to it very quickly. I have gotten quite used to NO added salt. (I find extra, good salt on eggs the hardest to give up.)

One person said that the appropriate amount of 'salt' intake for the average man is 20 granules, daily.

That's 20 grains the size of a period on this page!

Eat more low carb vegetables. They have plenty of potassium and other minerals. 100mg of magnesium supplements a day is not enough. I suggest you take at least 100mg 3x a day. Getting enough calcium, zinc, selenium and other minerals is very important. Stay away from potassium pills they can damaage your digestive system. If you must take potassium supplements, then get a powder and mix it well with plenty of water before drinking it.
